Heater for NC12

Hi
Ive had a NC12 for about 2 months now and have been using a regular thermometer to monitor my temps. Now that i switched over to a coralife digital one i found out my temp has been jumping to 90 degrees+ at night and i think its due to my faulty heater. Anyways to my question at hand, Does anyone know where i can find a decently priced 50 watt heater that will fit in my NC12 from a LFS in Southern Cali. Cant really wait to get a new heater from an online vendor.

Thanks in advance

usually between 25-40 and maybe it will fit depending on what size/model you get. The first version in 50 watt is 10.25" tall.

I would have to disagree with using Won brothers heater. I bought a new one from MD back in December to be a back up heater. Didn't use it until recently when I decided to put it in my frag tank. The blasted thing won't shut off. No matter where you turn the dial the light stays on. Since I bought it a while back from Marine Depot I didn't save the receipt. If you go to the MD site and bring up that heater you can now see all the other bad reviews saying the same thing. I should have looked there first.

My via aqua titanium heater on the other hand has never given me any problem, though it might be too big for a nano.

I loved my WON too, until yesterday when it took a crap on me. It was only 6 months old, and the digital thermostat was reading 128degrees, When i saw that, i almost fell to the floor.... :eek2: Fortunately it was wrong, and i dropped in my thermometer, it was only 78degrees.. wheeeew, that was a close one! It keeps clicking too, like its turning on/off. Anybody ever have this problem before?

btw, are there any other good heaters with a digital thermo?

No, but the thermostat in my chiller did that, and it was easy to see so I always used that for a temp check. I about spazzed when I looked down and it said "90"! Fortunately, it was on a controller, so I didn't freeze my fish out. Some day I gotta get that fixed...

I don't have the kinds with the digital thermostat, just the knobs.
