heater placement

I am not too sure where to place my heater(s). I am currently running a 75 with a 20L sump. I can't really find a convenient place in the sump to put a heater, since it only has a water height of maybe 8 inches. I also want to keep it out of the DT if possible. Could I put it in the overflow box? Also, recommendations in which heater to get?

ebo-jager makes a good heater. as for where to place it i'd try to find a place in the sump or try to hide it somewhere behind the rocks in the DT. i'm not sure the overflow would work but it might.

Can you place them horizontally in the sump? I second ebo-jager. If you use 2 smaller heaters (e/g/. 2 75s rather than a 150), they will be shorter and provide some redundancy in case one fails (plus, if one sticks on, it will take longer to overheat the tank being that it is smaller).

Heater location?

Heater location?

I also have 2 Ebo Jager heaters but one is in my 38 gallon refugium and the other in the 46 gal bow display . they are both 150 watts apiece and if one does not work the other will take up the slack. Very happy with these heaters!:bounce3: P.S. You can place them horizontally in the sump.
