Heater question.

Currently I'm running a 225 w/ a 225 sump. I have two 300w heaters and one 400w heater. If I remove one the other two can't really keep up and continually run. I know its winter but I would like to run only two heaters instead of three.

My question is what brand/type/size of heater people are using with 400+ gallons of volume?

I am running 800w heaters.

I have mine on dual controllers. Apex for turning on the plug, and a temp controller for a backup off the plug.

This way the apex will turn on the plug when the temp is low. This engages the temp controller. If the apex fails to turn off the temp controller will only let it go two more degrees higher than the setpoint on the apex. This allows for temp being off due to waterchange or other variable.

My 450 total gallon multitank system will finally be turned on in a few weeks. I am using a Pex loop and the hot water heater.
