Looking for recommendations on heaters for my system consisting of 180G Dt, 100G DT, and 40G sump/fuge operating volume for a total WC of 320G. I plan on loicating the heaters in the sump, have them hooked up to a Ranco or Medusa, and have at least 2 heaters. I would like to go titanium too eliminate the possibility of breakage. at 3-5 watts per gallon I am looking in the range of 1000w-1600W, I would like to get this in just 2 elements. I just am not sure what brand to go with, as there is not much agreement here as to which ones are without problems!?

Finnex, Via Aqua, Jaeger (glass), any others?

i use 2 300 watt Jager's on my 150 gallon fowlr and will use 3 x 300 watts on my 250 gallon soon to be fowlr.

I've never had a problem with the submersible jaegers.

I have 350 total gallons live in se michigan where it can get down right cold.I use a 500 watt won bros and a via 300 watt (both titananium)

I have used both won and finnix, both had problems but overall the finnix worked better, however both controllers gave me problems and died so I would definitely suggest a different controller.

Instead of a ranco or medusa have you considered a low end aquarium controller? Something like a reefkeeper lite is only around $99 where the others are $60-70 and don't do anything else.

Two 300 watt titanium heaters on a controller will work very well. two 500 watters would be better !! and yes titanium is better.
