Has anyone else started using their heaters recently? My tank dropped to 76 last night! now i need to get a new one... Huge change from the chiller running all day to needing a heater all of a sudden.

No heat yet -- I just shut the front door instead of leaving it open aat night and the house stays in the 70's, but I have been enjoying the nice weather.

Guess what? My dog is growing in his winter coat. This after dropping more fur this spring than he ever has in at least 12 years. For a Belgian, he was practically nekkid. Now here it all comes back in again.

Maybe summer is over?

Huh! You need to check your temp. probe or something, I doubt that the temp. can go that low in the summer. Is your sump located out side the house?

it actually gets pretty chilly here at night time. I actually have to turn the fan off and use covers now haha. The tank is on the first floor and the sump is under the stand so I can't understand why it was so low. I use a coralife digital thermometer. I need to get a controller.

Nicole, our dogs just shed year round I think haha. For such small dogs you wouldn't think they shed as much as they do. Sometimes I'll see hair in the tank and think the sps are sliming for some odd reason, but when i look closer, it's usually one of their hairs.

Angus only sheds twice a year. January to March, and April to December.

If you are on a concrete slab, the coolness coming up from the earth may be cooling your sump, too. Hey, I have a controller for sale. :)

Yinger,
Funny timing on the post. My tank dropped to 76 as well last night. I was suprised to see my heater kicking on. But at least the hot weather we had is gone.
