I had 3 WON bros heater and three turn bad on me. I use Jabo Eager now and in my opinion is reliable and good. i had 3 jabo and had been going on for 3 years without any issues.

I've also had 3-4 won bros heaters that have all gone bad within a year. I've been using tronics since then and I like them better than Won bros. Never used a Jabo Eager, sounds more reliable than Tronics.

I love Jabos I use them on all my tanks. I would not use any other heater. When you first get it use a 5G bucket and use a couple thermometers to figure out if it needs calibrating sometimes in shipping the calibration gets knocked off. There is a calibration button on the top of the temp dial and you can calibrate the unit using that. I have never had one lose calibration after I have calibrated it. And when you set it to a temp your tank will stay at that temp!!!

Go with the Ebos's. I have 15-20 of them running on my tanks and rarely have a problem with them. Most of them I have had for 5+ years and they still work great. I tried a couple of the via aqua metal heaters and 2 of the 5 I bought broke right around a year after I got them.

Ive used wons, ebo's. visitherms. Had problems with all of them including ebos, but would have to say the Ebos are my favorite of them all. The Won heater failed twice, one time while still under warranty, that thing could cook the tank quickly if it ever got stuck in the ON position. Lucky for me it failed the other way.

I replace every 6 months, use the old ones for water changes and makeup water. They are all too cheaply made in my opinion.
