Heavy grain sand, I need some

So my maroon clown thinks it funny to make my tank look like a snowglobe. Where can I get some sand that isnt as fine as what I have now? And believe it or not, my sand isnt all that fine. Ive used quickcrete playsand since Ive been in reefs without a problem. I will say that due to their changing one line of production to another you are taking a risk putting that stuff in your tank and I probably wouldnt do it again, but that is another arguement.

Tswifty was getting some heavy stuff for his tank, anybody know what he ended up with? I want something that stays settled but isnt as big a crushed coral. Thanks.

Thats why I'm going bare bottom now .My clowns and other fish just kick the sand up and it gets all over my rocks and corals.I should have listened to peoples suggestions before adding that playsand.

I actually was on the phone with Sean for about 15 minutes, bouncing ideas off him, while I was at the LFS picking it out today. I ended up deciding on the Carib Sea Fiji Pink. To me it seemed to be right between the Sugar Sized Oolite, and the Special Grade Reef Sand.

It sounds like what you are looking for is the Carib Sea Special Grade Reef Sand. Sean is currently using that in his 150, and I believe the grain size is in the 1-2mm range.

The Argamax Select was about the same size as the Fiji Pink, but I liked the color of the Fiji Pink a little more.

TJ the Carib Sea Special Grade Reef Sand is not a course as you think I still think its to small.

I would go with a mix of special and Bermuda pink Carib Sea brand.
