Need some information if someone has one of these little guys....
Have been checking that these little fellows eat hair algae.....
But these fish are hard to keep...
Any one out there with one or knows about them...
Thanks .... :-)

I have had one now for close to 2 weeks in a 34g nano...it doesn't come out often from its hole and usually just picks pods that are in sand and hovers in several spots. Haven't seen it eat hair algae but then again, I dont think i have any..lol

I have mine in a 135. and he is everywhere! pecks at rocks all day . around 7:30 (two hours before lites out) he backs into a small hole in a rock... I have no hair alge(nock wood) so I'm not sure if it's him or just luck. have had him for about 5 months and if he would die i would get another....great little fish crappy little photo.

Is he hard to keep.... looks like you have luck with yours...
Got one of these little fellow on order....
Hopefully it might help the problem I have with hair algae,if not still a cool looking little guy....
Thank again.....

They are related to a raindfords goby and look very identical. I had a ton of hair algae when I got my raindfords goby almost a year ago. I do not really believe it was him that ate it all, but it was completely gone after about two months after having already been around for about a month and a half. I am leaning on I just happened to fix whatever problem was causing it, but he is still around now all this time without any. cute lil fellas.

I suspect some of the bad luck with this fish, as it is a picker, is from people putting them in too small of tanks. They will eat prepared foods but probably copepods also and a nano tank usually cant support even one fish that munches on pods.

Having them in larger tanks gives them a much better chance, imo
