Who's got em?

If you do, do you think one would be fine with a mystery wrasse, or will the wrasse scare the firefish into constant hiding? 90 gallon tank.

I have one. However, I personally would not put a mystery wrasse with one because I know that they are potentially aggressive fish. Gorgeous fish, very hardy, but not an aggressive feeder.

I don't know if it matters, but the fish will be added at the same time, if the firefish is added at all.

The same time won't matter and that's an expensive fish to lose so quickly.

I always wanted to buy a helfrichi firefish but I have a mystery wrasse who can have a nasty temper who doesn't welcome newcommers very well. Besides I have an eggcrate, which chances are he can sqeeze through it and become dry fish jerky

Thanks for the replies everyone,sounds like the firefish is a no no. What does everyone house with their mystery wrasse's? Sounds like these fish are a pain.

They're fine with any of the more robust reef fishes such as dwarf angels, small hawks, damsels, larger anthias, etc...

I have one with the Flasher, 2 tang and 1 purple firefish. They all get along fine. The only problem is the purple firefish and the Helfrichi firefish never come out at the same time. If one come out then other hiding, but they never fight. I guess that how they get along.

A really good friend of mine has a mated pair of helfrichi's, and she has various wrasses co-habitating with them..here are pictures of her tank.
