Turtle after some time some of the mushrooms will just fall off what rock they are on and float around. If you see one does this just grab it off the sand and place it somewhere on a rock where you want it. Sometimes I place another small rock on top of it for a day or two so it will grow there. You can use a razor blade and cut them from a rock but you need to do it when the mushrooms are swelled up big so you can get underneath them and you will have to do it kind of quickly so they dont shrink before you make the cut. I have only done this once and I didn't think it turned out too good but after I took what I cut off and put it on another rock after a week or so they looked fine.

Technically, you can cut them up like a pizza and all the slices will eventually grow into full mushrooms.

Mushroom propogation is a piece of cake... or pizza as it may be (bad jokes are free).

Seriously, I had a powerhead eat a mushroom once and all that was left was one little piece of flesh on the rock. Mushroom came back full force. If you cut them up, my only advice is to be sure that the parts you cut are separated as they will sometimes grow back together.
