Hello everyone...

My name is William (Bill) Kennedy AKA: einstein
I met some of you at the recent IMAC. I live in Davenport IA. where I have a 7 month old 120 gal SPS and clam tank... I was in the hobby about 5 years ago where I was an admin at Reefs.org. when I moved to Iowa I had to sell all my stock but kept my equipment.
It is great to be back in the hobby again and I am interested in joining your group.
I would love to come to the up coming frag auction in June if I can schedule it in...

Here is a quick pic of my tank taken today....

Enjoy!

Look forward to meeting all of you

Welcome aboard Bill. Nice to have another QC reefer here. I look forward to meeting you.

Nice looking tank by the way.

Sweet the more the merrier. Its good to have more SPS keepers in town. What boat do you work for?

Got any more pics or details on your tank?

Covey

I am the Casino Manager for Casino Rock Island.

I was beginning to wonder if there were any other sps keepers in the QC's, I'm excited to find some other addicted reefkeepers.

As for my system...
here are some stats and links....

120 AGA megaflow tank. In wall with workroom behind it. I had all the needed items installed in the room when we had our basement finished in a recent 40k project.

Lighting 2x400w XM20k halides (these are new and I like the 20k so far...time will tell)
2x110w VHO actinics
All lights are vented to the outside of the house both for heat removal and for humidity removal.

Filtration: 3" DSB with 90lbs of live rock( I need more) 40 gal breeder tank for the sump ( boy do I want to replace this sump). Return pump is an Iwasaki MD40-RXT.

Skimmer: 1 week old Trigger systems TS300 Im quite impressed with this unit... her are some pics from about an hour after it broke in
www.einsweb.com/skimmer
Driven by an oceanrunner pump 1700 gph skimmer is external.

Flow is created by a Closed loop system powered by a external mag18 ( plan to add a Oceans motion eventually)

Calcium is supplied by a K2R calcium reator.

I use the Prodibio system which is very similar to the Zeo system but much less expensive, I am extremely impressed with these products.

I will post some pics in the next day or so....I just got a Nikon D50 and I'm taking a lot of pics...wont be long.

Thanks for inquiring about my system...

How are you...did you get the e-mail I sent you with the pics of the RSB skimmer mod I had?
I retired my RSB last week for a trigger TS300. Let me know if you need any parts.

BTW that frag you gave me at IMAC is coloring up REAL NICE!
How is yours doing? getting any good colors out of it?

I did and thank you, my colony from IMAC looks super, I actually just ordered a few new corals I'll send you some pics.

Welcome to the club. Hope you can make it to the auction. I also have a D50. It's a good entry level camera for DSLR and they take great pictures. What lenses do you have?

Welcome aboard! Nice to have another reefer in the Quad Cities. Sweet tank you have there, I plan on starting a 120 in the not to distant future.
