Hey, im new to the whole saltwater thing, did quite a bit of research and now i have a plan and know what i want to do with my tank

i have a 50 gallon acrylic tank that is empty right now, will be starting off with some sand and rock shortly, picking a protein skimmer up tomorrow. if anyone has any old equipment they are getting rid or or sand or rock, let me know. Look for any deals possible. I will post pics of the setup once i start getting heavy into it. Thanks!

I don't know how far you're willing to drive but That Fish Place/That Pet Place sends coupons monthly to people on their mailing list with a "mid week madness" coupon for a large discount on 1 item if you go during the week. I bought my skimmer/pump, 2 koralia magnum 8 powerheads, Ice Cap 250w MH ballast (only needed 1 new one) and a few other items that way. It took me a while at 1 item per month (although I used other people's coupons too to get them faster), but I wasn't in a rush and saved well over $500 dollars by the time I was done.
