Has anyone ever owned an Aquapod Aquarium system?

I am looking to downsize and was wondering if the all in ones are worth the money.

I currently own an Aquapod and am very happy with everything except the filtration that mine came with...2 big blue sponges....I have not seen any design changes but there has to be a mod to make them better. Also I had to add plastic to mine to make it a surface skimmer but that was east too. I would look at a bio cube also and make your decision based upon that....also the only nano skimmer I would buy is a sapphire and you can see these on nanotuners.com

I have an 8 gallon biocube that I love. I dont know if that helps you at all but mine is very easy to maintain and I have not done any major mods. Just swapped out the pump to something bigger, pulled out all the filter stuff and added LR with a little bit of filter floss that gets changed once every couple weeks. Thats it. Its been running for almost 2 years now.

Thanks...spent some quality time at that site. The little ones could cost as much as the big ones.

It is like buying sneaks for my daughter...still $50!

you can also look at some of the rimless AIO tanks. My CAD is a very nice design, I personally think it looks cooler because of the rimless top rather than the canopy top of the cubes and pods. nano-reef is a decent place to find lots of pics of different systems in that size range. Ocean reflections has a very diverse selection of nano's and smaller tanks as well with good prices.

lol yea my daughters shoes are 30 and they aren't even as large as my fist. darn kids....

fatrip....do you have any photos of your tank?

Is it an open tank?
I only have one worry about an open tank. My daughter (only four) came to me once and said she fed the fish for me. I looked inside the canopy and a whole bottle of flake was sitting on top of my light.

lol, i don't have any pictures of the tank. srry, but it is open, but only when people are at the house, other than that there is a plexi top i put on it so i don't have beach barbi or ken chillin in the reef, or worse a cup full or juice or milk...lol..
