Help Acro bleaching at tips

We would leave it alone and let it re-encrust - especially if it was like that when you got it (from the swap, I'm assuming).

I would leave the tips alone but check your phosphates. I had the same problem thought it was my alk turned out to be phosphates.

OP picked up the tri color at a frag swap this past weekend and noted that the tips were bleached when he got it.

Healthy tri-color acro valida and nana have small (bb sized at most) white or yellow tips...

Also, healthy stag form acros grow fast. The last inch or two of the branches will be white...

A budy of mine saw this Miami Orchid and thought it was dying :D. It is very healthy.

RC seems to be slower than molasses this morning... "wicked busy servers".... unfortunately Brian, your pics aren't showing up

Good to know about the tri color... have to take a closer look at ours once the lights come on....

If you don't have growth tips then you have different problems.

Phosphate would have to be really, really high to cause tissue death or bleaching. Mine were >.5ppm for over a year. Finally fixed.
