Hello,
I've had my queen angel for over 4 years now. For the last day or so he's been breathing heavy and not really eating. All water params are good. Havn't had any additions or made any changes to the tank in a long time. Temp's fine, filtrations fine, no stray voltage anywhere. Any suggestions? He's my show fish I would hate to loose him after 4 yrs+
thanks,
Mark

All parameters?

How about the oxygen level?

Do you have a lot of water movement at hte top of your tank to help with gas exchange?

Hi ,
Yes, it's the same as always. I have two nozzles coming out of my overflow and both are pointed towards the top plus I have a powerhead so water movement is fine. I have 3 other fish in there as well and none of the others seem to be having any trouble. Is there a way to measure it?

They do have test kits for it. Sailfert makes one (others do to, I just like the ease of use of them and I have never had a problem with accuracy)

How old was the angel when you got him? was it already an adult?

Thanks,
He was young, about 2.5 inches, he's since doubled in size to about 5-6". So definitely not old age. I dosed some Macrycn, it says it helps for gill disease and trouble breathing, it could be an internal infection. I'll keep my fingers crossed. THanks for the feedback!
