Help, australomussa bleaching and shedding flesh!

As the title reads, our australomussa has bleached on one end and is shedding the bleached tissue.

I've had the piece for a few months and it was doing fine. When I placed it in the new tank, I believe it was stung by the bubble gum monster. I awoke to find a section, about 1/4" x 1/4" dead and gone. I relocated the coral, but within a few days, the 2" x 2" piece in the photo below was bleached.

I moved the coral to a shady area where it has been for a few weeks, with no improvement or worsening. This weekend I moved it back into the light (on the floor) and now the bleached flesh is peeling off.

Please help.

I'm not sure if I should dip it, cut off the dead portion, or what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cut off the dead portion and apply super glue gel to the skeleton that's left the doesn't have any tissue. This will help to keep the damage from spreading. Maybe you have it under too much light? They like lower lighting.
