HELP... Basic Ballast Wiring

I have a T5 fixture that I am trying to wire to a standard household switch and then to the wall. Im having trouble because what I thought was right is wrong and trippin the breaker, unless you cant turn it on without bulbs in it. being the uneducated electrical guy that I am.

The fixture is similar to your standard 4 ft. shop light from homedepot. The wires coming out of the ballast are black connecting to black on the ballast, white coming from white connector on the ballast and a grayish/green wire coming from the green color wire connector on the ballast.

Here is the ballast link http://genet.gelighting.com/LightProducts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=BALLASTSPECPAGE&PRODUCTCODE=29717

Heres the wiring diagram for it http://genet.gelighting.com/LightProducts/images/t03/0000002/r02489v29.jpg

There is no gray wire coming from the ballast though is where I think the problem is.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated....

I'm no electrition , but try this.
From the house you have white, black and ground. Ground the green. Black to black, then white house into the switch and then between the white and gray from the ballast. I believe that is what you need.

SUPER!!!! That works great. Thank you do much for the help. I was so tired I have no idea what I did last night that made something that simple so hard. too much work.

What a huge difference the four T5's are over four 55/65 watt PC bulbs. I dont have any reflectors yet and they are still 2 to 3 times brighter.
