Help, Black and White Ich!

I have been reading about treatment options and would like to ask for advice for my specific issues. I have a Tennenti tang that appears to have black ich and a Porcupine puffer with white ich. I do have a african cleaner wrasse that works on them both. The tank is fowlr with some hermits, a couple star fish and tube worms that came on live rock.

I have given both puffer and tang 5 min fresh water baths. Didn't see much affect on either.

Tank is 125gl with 70ish lbs of live rock.
Fish: Porc puffer, Tennenti tang, Coral Beauty, Maroon clown, Starry blenny (has been scratching but dont see spots), Mandarin goby, yellow chromi and cleaner wrasse.

What is the best route to rid my fish and tank or parasites?

I have been considering setting up a 29gl QT and putting all fish in there but dont know if that is big enough? If I pull all fish will my main tank cycle again?

Should I pull inverts and drop salinity? Will that kill live rock? Or should I break everything down and start over seperating inverts, live rock, sand and fish. So very frustrating, I just got everything looking awesome and then bugs reared thier ugly heads.

Please advise!

In order for us to provide the best possible help, please provide the following information. It will really help us and it will be information we need.

1. How old is this aquarium? Set up in march

2. If less than six months old, what is ammonia level? zero amonia, zero nitrites, nitrates are high (160 ppm) but am working on RO water changes have done two 25gl over the last week.

3. What is SG of this aquarium? 1.021 How measured? Hydrometer

4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium? Goby was added 3 days ago

5. Was it quarantined? If so, how? And how long? Was it prophylactically treated? How? I havent been quarantining but will be from here on out!

6. If you are using a copper based medication, which one? How often do you measure level? When? Havent used and meds yet.

7. If you are using hyposalinity, how did you calibrate your refractometer?

8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color? Bleack spots on tang about the size of small grain of sand. White spots on puffer about the size of grain of salt.

9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish? Fish are social but have been scratching on buttom and on rocks.

10. Is the fish eating? What? Fish have been eating twice a day, krill for puffer, flake and brine shimp for others. I also rubber band sea weed to rock for tang to munch on.

A calibrated refractometer is better

4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium? Goby was added 3 days ago

I hope so, or you will continue to fight these kind of problems

Prazipro will work on black ich, for cryptocaryon irritans, read the stickies, but I prefer tank transfer

cleaner shrimp have no effect on ich, sorry. Your tank must remain fallow for 9 weeks after proper treatment of the fish to eradicate ich and ALL fish must be treated.

So are you suggesting 2 hospital/qt tanks? One for black ich and one for white ich? I was thinking cupramine for the white ich and now the Prazipro for black ich. Can Prazipro be used while using hyposalinity treatment? What are your thoughts on tank size? I know another 125 would be ideal, but not going to happen. I saw 29gl at meijers for 34 bucks and 20 long are on sale now at Jacks for 24 bucks. I have a 20 tall with a turtle in it I could reclaim as well.

Two 20 gallon tanks would be fine for tank transfer. Read the sticky above on process. Black ich is a different issue and needs prazipro but that fish is likely infected with ich as well as are all fish in the tank with ich (cryptocaryon irritans). If you read the stickies in this forum you will be much better informed about what needs to be done.

One other question. I read that manderine goby's are not suceptible to marine ich due to thier body slime. Can she remain in the display tank with the live rock during the 9 weeks fallow period?

I would say not. Mandarins are less susceptible but not immune and can carry it.
