My numbers:
ammonia/nitrites/nitrates-0
ph 8.1
ca 380
alk 9
mg 1280
phosphate 0
lights:
4x56 T5, 2 actinic 2 something else. run 9 hours a day
2x150 MH 14,000 was running 1-3 hours 3-4 times a week, now running 5 hours 7 day. change not coincident to anemone change.
tank:
75 with 55 sump, probably 110 gallons total volume
2xkoralia 3 plus mag 5 return
100 lbs live rock
inhabitants:
gsm mated pair
2 x bta
had all four 18 months
ceriths, nassarius vibex, blue hermit crabs (not enough of any!)
branching torch, wall hammer, a few mushrooms
caluerpa, hair algae (too much!)
missing/presumed dead long spine urchin (missing a week before anemone changed appearance)
water is ro/di with 0 TDS, salt is reef crystals, instant ocean and whatever lfs has for saltwater when i'm too lazy or busy to make it
he has been deflated like this for a little over three weeks...ideas that have been floated are lack of light (so i increased the mh, but the other is not like that, and he'd been living that way for well over a year), massive water change needed (did 40 gallons, could try that again. did it 6 days ago), high phospates (i had posted it was between 0 and .1, i was told .04 was high, i was reading the scale wrong, its between immeasurable and .01...i think it is 0 because of all the )#(*@$ hair algae thats using it!).
his foot is sticky, and when he expands (from a tiny ball to what you saw in the pic) the back of his body touches two rocks, and he sticks to those rocks. he wont take food.
other bta shows no ill effects whatsoever.
help!
