Help! Bulkhead leaking

Argh I'm so mad right now. Makes me wish I never went with the sump Idea.

So I had my 29g tank drilled, installed a standard bulkhead and had it run leak free for two months now. Today I found that the water began dripping around the bulkhead and onto the floor. I decided to seal it up with AGA black silicone and now it stopped leaking.

Will silicone hold tight permanently or will I have to get paranoid over this?

If you over tightened the bulkhead that may have made it leak. The silicone should hold. I like to put teflon tape around the threads. This way the washer has a better seal. Maybe the washer had a small nick in it. Hopefully it won't leak anymore.

Well I couldnt unscrew the bulkhead because I spray painted the back along with the bulkhead as a result the nut is stuck. Just hoping the silicone will hold.
