Help!! Can anyone tell me what this is

Hi

We have had our reef tank set up for over 5 weeks now.

Our levels were perfect so we got our first fish.

We have hqd our clowns for two days and have found this on his tail.

It's kind of a discolouration/pale

It looks kind of like fin rot. Might try posting this in the disease forum, there're several experts there that should be able to help you. You can also Google fin rot in saltwater fish. I've personally never had this in any of the fish I've ever owned but if I had it my choice for treatment would be to treat with Pimafix and Melafix both products can be dosed at the same time. One clears up any bacterial infection and the other promotes healing. Both are completely reef safe.
