Help - Clam spit out foot

You read right, it looks like my crocea clam just pushed out the foot and is still reacting to things. Everything was going good until I had to send my Tek light in for repairs. The clam was doing just fine until about day 7, which I thought I was going to get my lights back in 3 days. But at day 7, the clam closed up and curled the mantle, the shrimp then becmae very interested inthe clam. Now a day after my lights are back on, the clam is opening a little more but has pushed out the part I would have comnsidered the foot.

My params are fine the big three at 0 and ph at 8.16, Ca 400+
And there are no pyramids, I check every night.
What is going on here?

possibly not happy with where it is located so it released it's foot to find a better spot. probally in search of better lighting. would hope it re attaches as soon as the lights come back. my derasa did that a month or so ago and now he is a happy clam

So should I move the clam and take out the discarded foot? Or does it need to have the foot nearby in order to reattach? I am so confused by all of this

don't move the clam it is very stressed from not having light for 7 days(your lucky it not dead)it just released the byssal threads due the the stress.if you move it you will stress it more.it still might not make it. good luck
