Help, Dersa Foot Fell Off!!!!!!

My 8" Dersa clam last night de-tached itself from the rock it was on, leaving behind what looks to be its entire foot behind.
Is this bad???? The chunk of flesh looks to be very large. Is this clam on its way out??

it sounds like it was just the byssal threads. if the gland was undamaged it should be fine

the clam is a Crocea not a Derasa.

those are just the byssal threads and the clam should be fine
