Help, eyeball bulging!

One of my oldest friends has what appears to be a serious problem. My Saddle Back Clown whom I have had for over seven years and is approx. 6 1/2" long has one eyeball coming out of his head. He is still eating and swimming, but it looks terrible. Water perams are good the only tank mate big enough to do this is an 8" yellow tang. The tang and sb have never had any disputes to my knowledge. Please help, don't want to loose this guy.

Pop Eye is a common wound. This goes away on its own and dosen't stay around long. Feed him alittle more than regular.

he can go blind do to pop-eye..u should treat it.post your thread on on the fish and disease forum.somebody with more experince than me can guide u in the right direction.good luck.

It isn't uncommon for that to happen to saddle backs. When I had my pair both got it twice, and both times it went away on its own. During that time I did increase the water changes. Took about three weeks for it to go away.

depending on if you can issolate him... or if you do not have inverts in your tank... Epsom salt which can be found at pretty much any store near the band-aids rids pop-eye in a week or so... just dose it in the water.... I can give you more details if you decide to use this method.

it happened to me too. Try and see if it goes away first and keep water conditions good. If it doesn't work use saltwater maracyn 2 in a quarantine tank. It worked for me.
