help for harlequin

Recently I got a harlequin shrimp to control the starfish in my tank. Unfortunately, it seems to have done a great job on them. I haven't seen one in almost a week now and I don't know if the shrimp might be starving. I'm not sure how long they can go without eating, or how long it has been since it ate, but I'm looking for any of those little odd shaped starfish that used to be all over my tank. If you have any and can spare some please PM me. I'm in Edmond, so the greater Okc area it local to me.

Thanks,

Tony

Is Monday good for you? I know you have lots going on, but I had forgotten about the shrimp and I'd like to get some food to him (her?).

I can harvest many from my Berghia tank also - and I am in Edmond. I'll PM you my cell phone number.

Tony,

Harlequin shrimp can go up to about 4 weeks without eating. Once you get to the point of feeding them bigger starfish (choc chip, etc) I usually allow a week between them finishing one off and putting a new one in. I built a cage for the choc chips to keep them away fro the corals, but found the harlequins get to them before they get to the coral.

Well, TheMcs thanks for the info and thanks lightsluvr for the asterias (sp?). Mr. H was all over them.

Tony
