Help, FOXFACE WAS STUCK TO POWERHEAD

LAST NIGHT I found my foxface stuck to the intake of my maxijet. I disconnected the power and the fish immediately swam away and resumed his normal life, eating, swimming around, etc. There was a buldge on the side of his body, but no discoloration. This morning he looked fine. I just looked now and the spot is pure white as if his yellow scales are missing. Will he live? is there anything I can do or treat?

99% of the time I have the screens on the powerheads and he had to catch the 1% time that I had the screen off to clean

I would observe it for the time being. Fish can and do live from these sorts of things.

Thanks Amphiprion, but it looks like he will not make it...He stopped swimming. He'll probably be a floater in the AM unless the night crew gets him.

Sorry to hear that. The internal damage must have already been done. Well, you live and you learn--it is mistake, but one you can certainly learn from, and that counts.

My yellow tang did this last month, he only lasted 2 days after that incident
