Help fragging war coral

I now see why they call it a WAR coral!! I bought this guy a couple years ago, came on a frag disc and had its ups and downs, shrinking and growing, then shrinking again. Well it has found a spot it loves, and I have enjoyed watching it take over the zoas around it! Here is an older picture of it in its current spot:

Here is a more recent picture, you can see how much it has taken over! Its goes down the back of the rock more than you can see in the pic, but the zoas that were once there have been taken over.

So my question about fragging, can I just reach in with treezers and twist the piece that is jutting out over the nem? Can I glue the bottom side of this to another piece of rubble to start a new colony? Is it ok if it is out of water for a few moments to glue it to something? I just want to see if I can get another colony to grow from it. Probably a simple task, but I have never fragged this type of coral before.
Thanks!

Its so easy, don't be worried about the survival of a war coral, they are super Hardy, I once smashed my war coral between a large rock and it still did fine later
