HELP....free mantis in orlando

I have a hitchhiking mantis on a pice of florida live rock I got in the keys. Hes about 2 inches long. I cant get him out of the rock long enough to catch him so I put the whole rock in my refugium. I really want the piece of rock though. The rock has some macro algea (halimedia, shaving bush)on it and also has purple coraline algea on it. If I run some hot water on the hole in the rock will it hurt my algea on the live rock? I think that is the only way I can get him out of there. If anyone wants the rock and the mantis Ill sell you the rock for like $20. The rock is about 9"x 9". But I am in orlando and not shipping anything. If I do get him out I will give him away to whoever wants him.

Put a piece of dead shrimp on the far side of the fuge ad wait, he will leave the rock to eat the shrimp and then you can pull the rock out, don't even bother trying to catch him

You could take the rock out, put it over a bowl, and squirt freshwater in the rock.

That should drive it out.

I've read dipping the rock in water with a very high salinity might work

I have him in my refugium. I had to split the rock in two with a hammer and screw driver. Let me know and I will gladly give him to you. I'll get some pics of him if you want.

I wouldnt even know how to ship a mantis. I dont think UPS would like it if I walked in with a manti sshrimp and said to ship it somewhere. Well here are the pics. This thing is hard to photograph. Sorry about the shots but I didnt want to lift his rock up so I tried to get him out with some shrimp.
