I just pulled out my Baensch Marine Atlas and it says this about the Red Sea Cleaner wrasse, "only the juveniles are cleaners; adults primarily feed on coral polyps."
It is pretty careless for a fish store to sell it as a cleaner wrasse let alone a "reef safe" fish.
Ugh...the little bastard wont even go near the traps or bottles. I have an 8 foot tank so the net thing is out of the question. All that does is give me exercise going up and down the ladder. I *REALLY* dont want to dig out all my rock just to catch this little bastard. There has to be a better way.
I didn't even look at your tank size. I had a hell of a time getting him out of a 75 gal with mostly frags in it. I kept it in my sump until I could take him back to the LFS. When I went to get him out of the sump, it took me another hour to get him out of there. He kept going back and forth between the three sections and hiding under my return pump, the skimmer pump and the LR and macro in the fuge......
