Hello,
I tried to update to 1630 firmware and halfway through my unit crashed. After clicking ok on the screen the light blinked off. I can't do anything to make it turn back on. I have no power at the LCD or ability to see it with my vstick software anymore.

I have done the 'soft' reset where you hold button 3 and unplug and plug back in. I had only mod 1 blink blue but it didn't reset anything to allow me to get my lights back on.

I recall seeing a post about a 'hard' reset where you removed the acrylic and held a button, does anyone have a link to instructions on how, I don't see anything obvious other then a tiny button that doesn't seem to change anything.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Christopher

I was the one who posted the hard reset comment. Here are the instructions:

To recover modules other than the master module 0 you must follow these instructions:

1. Carefully remove the fixture endplate on the power cord side.
2. Slide out the plexiglas shield and place in a safe location.
3. Press and hold the small button next to the white auxiliary expansion plug on the module.
4. Power on the fixture while keeping the button pressed and retry the firmware update process.

Also make sure that you have very good signa strengthl during the update. Other than turning off all your nearby wireless gadgets, you can use a USB extender to connect the V-stick and have it placed very close to the fixture.

Also you can search this forum for the thread Vertex Illumina Club and post your questions there. You will get faster and more responses.

i had the same issue and it was due to me not having my laptop close enough to the light fixture and not knowing exactly what everything meant

don't worry you haven't bricked it i thought i had but once you get to understand it its really easy

find the v stick and go to the update part make sure you have the number right for the amount of pads the light has i didn't understand this it updates each pad individually

sit your light on the floor with your laptop at the side and run it i also turned anything that was in the path of the light using a wireless connection to reduce interferance i didn't have to do a hard reset so i would just try again first and be patient
