Help getting Mp40QD upgrade working

Hello-
I recently upgraded my MP40ES to the QD. I upgraded only the driver and wet side assembly keeping my old dry side assembly.

I followed installation instructions with no trouble but when I power the upgrade on, the propellor only spins intermittently, like it's getting stuck on something. The dial color goes between blue, red, green almost like it's searching for a mode to operate in but the flashing colors are not like what I'm used to seeing the error colors look like. I tried a soft and hard reset and still am getting this result. Please help!

If it helps, there is another MP40QD that I installed a month ago that is set as a Master to the old Slave I just upgraded.

I just now unplugged the Master so I would have only one QD online. It still cycled through the colors I previously mentioned with an intermittent propeller so that didn't resolve the issue.
