Other than this, she seems fine. eating and swimming all over the place. no respiratory symptoms. what is it and can i do something to fix it? the male in the tank does not have the grey spots at all.

thanks!

Are there spots on the clear parts of her fins as well? It could be crypto.

BTW, that's a beautiful picasso.

Unfortunately it's hard to really tell since your picasso has so much white. Any other symptoms like rapid breathing, loss of appetite, or general lethargy?

none at all. this is the 2nd day that she had the spots. im thinking about giving her a formalin bath tomorrow... the reason why im waiting till tomorrow is because i couldnt catch her today.

im going to wait until shes asleep to catch her. good idea or no?

Maybe wait a couple days until you're sure what's wrong. No need to stress out the poor fish if it ends up being nothing serious.
I know my true perc has 1-2 greyish dots but they usually disappear within a couple days. Usually happens when he touches my torch coral.

ok i checked her again today. she still has the spots. what should i do? she still seems fine though. no labored breathing and is active as can be.

2nd update: i gave her and the other clownfish a 45 min formalin dip. i ended up having to break down all the rock work to catch them... grrr. i also ended up fragging almost every coral i have :mad2:

Why did you treat the other fish if you weren't seeing any negative symptoms. This can be really stressful on the fish. The grey spots are likely anemone stings and will go away on their own. As long as the fish are eating well and staying active you don't have anything to worry about.

i thought that clowns were really susceptible to brook so i wanted to make sure to treat it in case he had the beginning of the disease.

ok, i won't treat again unless i see them stop eating. i was worrying because i recently lost a blue spot jawfish.

Mostly wild caught clowns, and the spots would be more red......
