Help! Haitain anemone just "sat" on my coral

I have a Haitian anemone and he just moved from the back of the tank, to the front. He proceeded to "sit" upon a piece of coral (the coral looks like a bubble tip anemone).

How he made his way from the back of the tank to the front is a mystery.....since there is high water flow.

What do I do? Is the nem aggressive? Is he "eating" the other coral (by sitting on it).

Also, there's a white thing sticking out inside the middle of the anemone.....what is that?

Also, does this nem look healthy? He has moved from the front of the tank where I put him originally, under the rock bridge, to the far back right of the tank, now to the front of the tank.

IME, Haitian are the most active movers out of most nems. BTA, Mags, LTA, Maxi Mini and Gigs seems to move only during the first acclimation to the tank. Once settled they stay put (most of the time) Haitian are active movers, it seems they like to move, just to move.

Try putting a direct flow on the Haitian to trying to get it to move. They are aggressive, one of mine stung a BTA and the BTA never recovered. The "white thing" is most likely sperm (and I'm not kidding).

So basically what you're saying is that I have an aggressive rapist in my tank.

lol

Here's another picture of him.....he looks handicapped. Is this normal?

Are you missing any fish? I think its ate something. It's mouth is definatly open in the first pic and in the last one the tentacles closed around the mouth looks like its having a meal.

I just noticed something. Is that a hammer its sitting on top of? if so the hammer my be stinging the nem pretty bad and that may be why its reacting like that

Hi guys, thankfully all fish are accounted for. So is the peppermint shrimp.

I cannot account for 1 emerald crab and I cannot account for a few of my turbo snails and hermit crabs....but they're always hiding as it is.

I haven't touched the nem since discovering it this morning....I just don't know what to do now. I woke up this morning and it was massive carnage. I threw my hands up in disgust and walked out of the room, hoping things would sort themselves out.

It's god awful carnage in my tank. Looks like the nem went to "war" with that coral you see in the 2nd picture I attached....and there's massive casualties on both sides.

The nem looks like his arms are pretty badly "burnt" and the coral....while he doesn't look "bad" as such....he's not fully "inflated" like he usually is.

I'm not sure what type of coral it is....all I know is that I paid $60 for that frag and the stupid anemone just tried to attack it.

Do you think the fish store will take it? I don't want to kill it....but if it's not playing friendly with everyone in my tank, I can't have this happening.

Never ever ever again going to the live fish store that sold me this thing. They claimed it was "friendly".

This thing is not friendly. It's a menace to coral.

update:

The nem has taken residence in the live rock cave, right behind where the fight with the other coral just took place. His arms look like they are crippled.....the coral doesn't look worse for the wear.

So I'm going to move the coral today and this is the nem's last chance. He's moved around all of the tank, if he doesn't stay here and out of the way of everyone, I'm giving him back to the lfs.

Hatians like to roam and it will keep moving till it finds a place it likes. No nem is coral safe as in most cases the nem will win. This one just happened to pick on one of the few things tougher than it is. The frag is either a frogspawn or hammer coral I can't really tell from the pic but it actually packs a bigger punch than most nems when its in battle

That's a torch coral. Same family as hammer and frogspawn. The one family of coral that anemone should stay away from.

If you are concerned about your corals, remove that anemone now before more damage happens. That variety of anemone is a known "walker" and are very difficult, if not impossible, to keep in one place. Furthermore, it is not a host nem for clownfish, if that is an ultimate goal for you. Best to remove it and cut your losses now.
