I absolutely cannot determine/diagnose whats going on in my tank.

I don't know if theres a bacteria infection or a parasite present.

1. a month ago.... I sedated my puffer fish in clove oil inorder to clip its overgrown teeth. All went fine with that. Placed puffer back in tank.

2. 1 weeks after.... I bought 3 mushroom corals and 1 plate coral.

3. 1 week after..... flamehawk and purple tang became pale. Flamehawk, purple tang and puffer rubbing against live rock.
Two clownfish are NOT affected at all.

4. All fish are eating.

5. October 19th treated 58 gallon (ONLY TANK) with Kent RXP.
I am not sure if its working or not.

(Lights have been off since I clipped puffer's teeth.

There are NO visible white/black dots, no visible cuts, no visible parasites hanging onto fish, no visible yellow coating.... other than the scratching, everything seems OK.

I do NOT know whats going on in the tank. I do NOT know what or how I should treat this situation.

There's so much information at this site... which is great but very confusing!!!

Any advice or comments is welcomed!

I don't know either, but when in doubt, run carbon, run polyfilter, and do a 20% water change, pretty well all at once. If there's a lingering effect of the clove oil or a bacterium that got let loose from the dental work, one or the other thing should help. I tend to think of these 3 things as something you can do that will not accidentally take the tank in a bad direction. You don't know what you've got, whether an irritant or something bacterial ---if bacterial, that's one thing [then you have to wonder gram positive or gram negative to consider a treatment] and fungus is something else. You can still go down the road if it doesn't clear up with just carbon and water improvement.
