Help I am new

Welcome to the hobby Raris!

I think the best advice I have ever read on these forums is to plan and go slowly, even (maybe especially) when starting a small tank. I would read these forums (especially New to the Hobby, Reef Discussion, and Reef Chemistry) obsessively and learn from other peoples' questions and mistakes. Reef Central is an amazing gift to this challenging hobby. Plenty of experts here (you'll learn who gives consistently good advice) to help.

Mistakes are:

1) easy to make;
2) HARD to recover from;
3) usually preventable through advance research and planning.

I learned some of this the hard way, like most folks! :)

Anyway, enough preaching stuff! Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your progress!

Once you get your feet wet............this hobby requires time, patience,
and money. I don't want to discourage you, this hobby is very cool. Just remember, the tank is not a piece of furniture....it will require your constant attention.

Good luck and happy reefing.
