Got this little sucker today.... LFS said it came in with the Camel shrimp but thing was about 1/3 the size and spotted instead of striped.

Any ideas to what it would be?

Hinge-beak shrimp, family Rhynchocinetidae. The common name is derived from the fact that the beak is jointed at the base & can move up and down.

Last photo, the shell on the right... Is that an empty shell? I can't be certain from the photo, but it resembles a sundial snail, which eats zoas. If you haven't already, you might want to look into it.

Ah, then you have a prized Nerite, as it has the beauty of the (close to) sundial patterning, without any of the harm. I have seen 2 sundials recently, so I think they may be a bit on-the-brain for me.

Yes the colors look like a Sundial......from far away. Shape and patterns are different.

Now I have seen Sundials before and know what they look like but thank you for pointing it out and even posting a picture of what a sundial looks like.

Here are pictures of the Nerite in question and even some pictures next to it's compadre's.

Again thanks for posting the obvious. I am sure even if I should be worried there is nothing in my Macro only tank that it could bother.
