My BTA has been in my tank only about a week, water all good, was tested by LFS and all checked out. Everythinhg else in my tank is loving life.
But, here is a pic of my Rosy (my first one) it almost looks like something ripped it up!:thumbdown

It could be splitting.

What exactly are the numbers behind your parameters?
What lights do you have?
What size tank?
How long has it been set up?

Uuuummm I havn't tested the water with my home kit yet today, I had the LFS test it (Aquatic warehouse) and they said the water was perfect, that was yesterday. But I'll do the basics I have and get back.
Its just a little 20 Long and has a Glo 24" T5 on it.
The tank has been up for over a year, in Colorado, I moved back to San Diego about a month ago and have since added the BTA, frogspawn and a pair of nemo's. Everything else looks fine. I don't understand.:hmm3:
Here's a pic of it right now, I'll check the Water right now and post results in a few mins.
Thanks so much for any help guys.

It seems to be trying to close up over the white chicken meat looking stuff.
Which I assume is its insides? Man that sux if its dying.
It still has color and is sticking to the shell, so I have to stay positive and hope for the best! My light just turned off and just moonlights on right now.

I just did a water check and here's my numbers
PH - 8.2
Amm - .50
Nitrate - 10
Nitrite - 0
Salinity - right between 1.024 and 1.025
Temp 78

your ammonia is high do a water change and watch the nem if it is dieing it will kill everything in your tank.

The nem won't kill everything in the tank. Will increase your ammonia a bit but certainly will not be toxic enough to kill everything in the tank.
If it's dead, which it's not, remove it as early as possible to avoid the ammonia spike.

You should have 0 reading for ammonia -- either your tank hasn't finished cycling, or the anemone is dying and giving off the ammonia; though a properly cycled/mature tank should be able to handle that.

Like was mentioned, do a water change, need to get that ammonia down to 0.

Ok so I did a 6 gal water change this morning.
BTA looks better this morning, still not "good" IMO but still attached to the shell it found and not a puddle of snot.
And my ammonia is prob high since a peppermint shrimp died a coue days ago. Hopefully with this water change things will get better.
I took a picture this morning but I can't attach it from my phone, I'll post it a little later. But it looks more shrivled up than guts all over the place.
Thanks again for all the info and advise.
Staying positive!

What are you using for filtration? A dead pep shrimp shouldn't cause an ammonia spike that this.

Yea I wouldn't think the pep shrimp would make that big of an ammonia spike, and I got it out pretty quick.
As for filtration, I have a little HOB refugium with some Live sand, rock and some macro in it. Then a AquaC remora Skimmer, and then just a canister filter that I just use for more flow and have my ROWAphos sack in.
I did a 6 gal water change this morning and retested the ammonia again just now and its still not 0 but I guess the tester does look more yellow color than green. Also my test kit is several years old so I can't trust it 100% but I do trust the LFS tests and they said my water was "perfect" a couple days ago.
I did start using RO water and mixing my own salt instead of getting it from the Scripps pier out of that hose straight from the ocean.

i just took a quick picture of it right now, its kinda under that shell but the color is much brighter than the pic shows.

IMO, a 20 long with 24" T5 glo light is not anywhere near a suitable habitat for an anemone. But that being said, as long as it's still stuck to the rock or whatever, it's not dead. If it lets go and tumbles around the tank then it's time to get it out. Otherwise, in 20 gallon tank it will cause a tremendous spike in nasty stuff in your tank. And you really don't want that.

I use a bit of Vinegar to help my anemone heal. Also I find keeping my Iodide at NSW levels keeps their strength up. Good luck !

Well.... I pulled the plug last night.
Just was waiting to see if there was any improvement, but it was just declining.
:(
