Hi folks, hope you can help...
I bought my first scoly just over a weeka go and placed him on the bottom of my tank. I never saw him really puff up at all but thought he was just getting used to things. Then after abotu 3 days I noticed some tissue recession around the edge, which has gradually got worse, then his mouth was permanently open and now there is tissue recession round the mouth too. The only thing I can think of is there may have been too much flow for him in the middle of the tank where the streams from the 2 Tunzes tend to collide and flow downwards, so I moved him to one end where there was also less light, but he continued to get worse so yesterday I moved him to the sump where it is easier to target feed him. However he hasn't eaten anything since I got him and is coninuing to look worse...
Any usggestions please??? Everythign else in the tank is really healthy.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Tank is 5' long and 24" deep, lighting is 2 x 250 watt MH, and the pendant is quite high above the water at the moment.
