There are two types attached to this rock that I purchased today so I'm looking for some help in IDing them. Images below:

Second one is on the left:

Their tips are neon green and the rock itself is roughly 2.5" wide and 4.5" long.

hairy mushroom corals or mushroom anemone corals would be my guess. second one may be a frogspawn?

Definitely a hairy mushroom, nice ID.

It looks a lot like a frogspawn, but the store definitely didn't price it as such. They had frogspawn that was 1/4 the size for the price I paid for the entire thing.

Do either of them have a skeleton?

I'm not too sure what you mean by skeleton?

is the second one attached to the rock directly or is it growing from a calcareous shell (skeleton)?

im pretty sure these are both hairy mushrooms. with the skeleton thing, the easiest way to tell if it has a calcium based skeleton is feeling it. if it is squishy, it does not have a skeleton. :lmao:
