Help ID a fish I saw

My wife and I saw a fish a while back and I cannot find it at any stores now. I am almost certain it was an angel but may have been a tang. It was blue or purple and had swirl marks on it. It was an awsome looking fish. I have looked everywhere for it and cannot find it. If you know what fish I am talking about please post pics if you have one.

Sounds like a juvenile angel fish of some sort....

I don't know how you came to the conclusion of maculosus based on that description :hmm5: but yeah probably a juvi pomacanthus. Since you mentioned swirls it could be a P. imperator, which would look like this:

In scott w. michaels, Angelfish and Butterflyfishes, the only juvenile angel that had purple on it was the mac angel. I thought it might be an emperor because of the swirl but the lack of purple made me say what i said.

tcm that looks a little like it, they are more circullar that swirls and I think it was more of a solid color. I know I am taking a long shot on finding it.
