Help ID and remedy

Can someone please help me ID this algae, explain what caused it, and help me get rid of it?
I was on a business trip for 4 days and when I returned, everything surprisingly looked great! I did a 20% water change 2 days ago, but this morning I noticed some of this algae on the sandbed. It wasn't a big deal as there will always be sort of algae, but this is how much it has spread in 12hrs!
All of my parameters are good for corals, and nitrites/nitrates are very low.
Any ideas?

What color is it? If it's white then it might just be some type of bacteria as opposed to algae. If your parameters are in fact ok then your best bet IMO is to just let it run it's course. Siphoning out what you can wouldn't hurt either. GL.

You might want to look into Dinoflagellates and see if anything looks familiar. Here's a couple to get you started. GL.

"Manual Removal - Remove the rock and place it in a large saucepan. Add water enough to cover the rock. Boil the tar out of it. Rinse and repeat with scrubbing in between. Let dry for 3 days in sun. alt Okay maybe not that far, but.... it is hard to remove. Scrub it as best you can.
Clean Up Crew -Don't bother."

That is NOT what I wanted to hear [emoji15]
