i need help making a correct id on an anemone i recently discovered. I have a peppermint shrimp and he has eaten every one of the nuisance ones, but he has left a small, clear one that has white dots throughout it and on the ends. It is completely clear, except for the white spots. Any idea of what it might be

i know it is part of the whole saltwater experience, dealing with host pests, but i hate dealing with it!! lol, now i have to figure out how to remove the ball anemone, or any other pest that comes into my tank, i guess i should really start doing the smart and recommended thing and quarantining stuff and scrubbing the live rock before putting it into the tank, but, and anemone probabyly could survive the scrubbing if it was closed....... well, looking for help in removing the anemone.

Well I don't know about removing it but, you could probably kill it with Joe's Juice or calc paste.

IMO, they are very pretty, but...

i just bought a new piece of rock for the fuge and found out that it had a ball anemone on it a couple days later. i'm pretty sure they are like most anemones and aren't necessarily pests. I am going to keep mine. Another note is that when feeding it, it grabs the food very fast so if it gets big it could potentially catch fish. This is also why i have kept it in the fuge

On the other hand, if you want to remove it just boil some kalkwasser and water then blow it into the anemone with a squirting dispenser of some sort.
