help ID hitchicker?

Any clue what this is? It was on my live rock. There are at least 6 in there on the rock. The biggest is 3 millimetres big.

Oh! sorry! I attatched a picture... no clue where it went! I'm new to this forum, so I'm stll trying to figure it out! I can't put up a new pic at the moment, but I'll give you more info on it.
It looks like coral(ish). It's white-pink. The head is a flat circular shape, and is surrounded by a ring of spheres. They never extend or move like tentacles. They are living individually- not in colonies. There is a circle in the middle of each head like a mouth. If I poke it, the cead curls in,but it does not fully retract into the rock. I hope that helps for now... I'll try to reload the picture soon.

majano anenome get rid of them i hope you don't have a lot of rock covered with them they can take over your tank pretty fast

hmm. It doesn't really look like majano to me, but maybe. I've never seen ones this color before. Also, majanos seem to have longer tentacles, whereas these little guys have more of... buds. Perfect spheres that stay right up against the body. Also, the pics i've seen they have more tentacle than body. mine have 1/2 cm bodies and teeny tiny 1/4 milimeter 'buds'. The "buds" are only on the edge, none towards the middle. If you still think it is majano though, why are they so bad? They're pretty...

not all majanos have long tentacles you might be confused with aiptasia just do a a google search on majano anenomes if your not planning on keeping corals then you have no problem if you are then you need to get rid of them as they are very poisonous and will sting & kill your corals & when they start to reproduce they can consume your whole tank if the conditions are right for them

No, I was looking at majanos. What I was trying to say is the head is about the same width/circumfrence as the stem and it seems majanos have bigger heads.
Anyway, I might keep them. I haven't stocked the tank yet, but I think these hitchhickers are pretty so maybe I could let them grow and save some big bucks I would have spent on coral!
Could they get along with mushrooms? Majanos will stay on their rock and not grow down into the sand right? I have a seperate rock(clean) that is not touching them. If I put shrooms on there and in the sand would that prevent encounters?
Also, possible stocking for this tank is a clown goby, a pom pom crab, a hermit crab, and nassarius snails. Will majanos harm those animals? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks!

I guess they probablybare mojanos, but I think I'll keep them. An update on behavior:
I tried poking it with my finger(i know...bad idea) but I was curiuos. It didn't sting me or anything, just curled up and got all sad looking. Can humans feel mojano stings? I also tried feeding it a tiny bloodworm. the anemone didn't wiggle around or really move at all. the worm just sloooowly dissapeared into its mouth. Does that sound like the wat mojanos behave? sorry for al the questions, I just want to be POSITIVE that this is what I have.

I don't think that's a mojano. You could put that rock away from other rocks so it can't roam easily and then just observe. Thats what I would do. Cheers.

actually, that's the only rock in my little tank as of right now. The biggest one is in a cave, it's almost a centimetre tall. the average size I'm seeing though is about a 3 millimetre diameter. Now that they are more comfortable, the tantacles are a wee bit longer...looking more tentacley and less spherical. I think the reason they looked that way is because the tips are a much brighter white so it just looks like these perfect little spheres sitting there. still though, I've never seen a majano that color before! I'm starting to notice little babies, so whatever it is, There's probably no ridding my tank of them now!!! As long as it won't hurt any fish or shrimp though, I'm fine with them living in my tank!

wow. I was looking at it under my blue night setting light and it's gorgeous with that! It gives the tips a cool kind of neoney glow. very nice.

I was just looking at some pictures of those and it looks allmost identical to what I have. This is an even bigger problem if they are that because I think they get big and eat fish under 2 inches big. This is a pico tank...all of my stock will be under 1 inch big!!
do you think this is what I have? anyone know more about these nems? Do ineed to get rid of them? how?

If they are Pseudocorynactis, they are notorious eaters of fish and of anything else that comes near them. One LFS near me used to have one that even ate mushrooms and hermit crabs. The only way they could keep it was in a species tank.

How big was his??!! mine really don't seem sticky or strong enought to catch anything. maybe once they get as big as his I'll just take them out...?
