help ID please

G,day folks
I have one nice brown with purple ends and green back clam. I think that it may be a derasa but I did not think that they come in brown, any help.
Also it tends to get some sand on top is this a problem or not, I do have it in my sand bed any sugestion on the best position for this clam.

It looks more like a squamosa than a deresa to me.

Derasas certainly come in brown but you have yourself a squamosa.
On the sand is the right placement for these clams and a little bit of sand does no harm, the clam is able to remove it easily.
