help id please

i was looking at my tank closely when i saw it. its hard to miss because it is almost transparent shade of brown or light purple. the middle part where the arms come from looks like one of those glass anenomes that end up plaqueing the tank but it has no stalk that hold onto the rock. then it has about 8 to 10 long thin wavy arms that look like tentacles. each arm has about 2 while stripes on them. it looks like it filter feeds by holding its arms out into the water and then bringing them to its base. any ideas

Not much to go on without a pic.
If it is an anemone, it may be Bartholomes annulata, "curlyque anemone".
A pest according to most people here but a beautiful and interesting creature according to me.
Let it grow a bit and see before you eliminate it.
