help ID sps ples

hi

i used to have higih nitrates 50 ppm lots of algae. now i got nitrate down to 1 ppm by putting shot of vodka in aquarium every night and use denitrator media.

but algae still not gone n weird red stuff growing on unknown sps:

here it is white light

edit: when i got it it looked more furry with polyps but now the original piece does not look so hot but it has been encrusting on rock.

I read that dosing vodka can fuel cyano bacteria.

thats what i read too thats why i stopped dosing the shot per night a few days ago.

do u think the coral is looking bleached? it has not grown horizontal or vertical only on rock encrust. the LED is 3 inches above water coral is 3 inches below water. ty

I'm not trying to be funny but I couldn't see a coral in your pics...:uhoh2:
Leds are pretty strong. They are more point source like laser beams than other lights and so difference in water clarity can have a strong enough impact to bleach corals. With that said, it doesn't matter how clear or not your water is, you're going to kill your corals being that close. I don't think it is good for the fixture to be that close to water and you should try to leave your highest corals at least 7-9 inches below the water surface.
