are these good anemone's to have? Will my clowns eventually host it or not likelly? Around here it seems these are all my LFS and petstore's carry besides seabaes.

Depends on the species of clown and the clown themselves.

Condylactis is not a natural clown hosting species. In my experience Clarks, Tomatos, Skunks and Saddlebacks tend to be less picky about hosting in them.

ive got 2 black and whites that i was hoping would take to it eventually. They are just little guys right now, but seem to have hosted my power head....

The only clown that this anemone will host for sure is a clarkii. Other clowns might accept it, but usually not.

They also tend to wander a lot so usually aren't good in reef tanks (but no host anemone is really good in a reef tank).

He has yet to move around my tank at all. He moved one rock over from where we put him, and seems happy as can be! If he does decide to "host" a fish I hope he eats the damn damsel thats in there.

One day it might lift up and start travelling. It's what they do. Sometimes they don't lift up, they just migrate around on the rocks.
It may never move or it might stay put for months and then one day start moving. You won't know until it happens. This travelling gets them caught in powerheads a lot too.

That's if it is a condy.

If you're looking for a clown for it, the clarkii is the best choice, IME. They have no reservations.

It IS a Condy. Careful. They are natural to the Atlantic Ocean, where there are NO clownfish. Sometimes, these naturally host a few species of Damsels, but they're more likely to EAT fish as host fish.

ill wait for him to move and remove him from the tank then. He is in a hole in the rock there, so good luck getting him out unless he desides to start moving. Ide like to get an anemone that my clowns will host. Like a RBTA or something similar.
