Help Id this encrusting coral please :)

It was a hitchiker with another coral. It slowly encrusted the rock it came on and has now completely covered it. Dark purple covered with fuzzy fingers and little blue specks. Once the rock was covered it started to make little ridges grouwing up and out. I hope this picture is good enough.

From what you said I would say Heliopora. aka blue ridge coral. If it is that is a super fuzzy piece. Heliopora is technically a soft coral.
 
I am thinking pavona too, just looked different than normal. It is encrusting with a fragile crust. If i try to cut it it just shatters. It has longer tentacles occasionaly.

Here are the closeups , sorry it took so long. The little star/spot things look blue in person. I think the Pavona decussata is right. It says it can come in multiple colors including pink and purple. Thanks!

Still looks like Pavona decussata to me though I've never seen one in blue or purple. I've had green ones and dark chocolate brown ones though :beer:
