help ID this leather

I recieved this coral from petco for a real cheap price due to its health.it has grown alot but it keeps shrinking then inflationg once a week. so any input would be great.

I have the same problem . I post a pic and ask for ID and nobody wants to help. Maybe they are not as smart as we think

guess i need to list all the parameters before someone will help.

75 gal
ph 8.4
salt 1.024
temp 74
lights coral life 2 10,000 k with two acentics
tank is 5 years old
nitrates are just above trace levels
I target feed with zooplex.
the problem is that it blooms out only once a week then shrinls down.
I only use RO/DI water

looks like spagetti finger or colt coral

I think it could be Sinularia sp. but we would need a zoom of the polyps open.

if you click and the pic twice it will show full size. also what will cause it to constintly shrinking?

looks like a colt. maybe the temp is too low. or alk.

Looks like it could be a cladiella, similar to colt check my gallery out for a pic of it, could be skrinking up because of water flow either to much or not enough. It has a protective protein coat that it can shed if too much detritus accumulates on it.

I do see the coat shedding off of it. so what should the temp be at?
