I stopped by a LFS last Saturday looking for some corals that is not green, red, or brown for my wife and kids tank. The guys work there showed me this piece with purple or blue color and atleast 3 inches high. They said it was rare and the name sound like Loki (sp?) or something. They said to put it high in the tank and medium random (turbulant) flow.
Could sps experts please tell me it scientific name and normal name so I know what it is.
I took one picture with flash and 1 without. Sorry, my wife's digital camera is a tiny 6.0 M pixle
Any recommendation of keeping it and bring out good color would be appreciate.
My wife tank is a 100 gallons 60"x18"x22" with TEK-2 T5 bulbs and 1.025 salinity, 0 ammonia, nitrite, 10 nitrate, .02 prophate, 8.4 ph, 440 cal, 8.6 dk, and 1400 mag.
Thanks,
